Diagnosis

Relying on observations and the therapeutic collaboration between patient and practitioner, a unique strategy emerges and unfolds. In addition to listening to you and asking questions, I rely on pulse diagnosis to help us find a clear picture of you, your strengths and struggles, and then direct the course of treatment that would best catalyze your healing right now. The directional and dynamic pulse taking technique I use, which dates back to the Han dynasty, allows for an incredibly specific reading on your state of health and the treatment that would be most beneficial. The pulses are a microcosmic reflection of what is going on internally, and they shift from moment to moment, day to day, and from the beginning of the treatment to the end of the treatment.

Treatment

Acupuncture is the central modality of my practice. Treatments often also include custom essential oil and chinese herbal prescriptions, as well as gua sha, cupping, moxabustion, and dietary recommendations.

Classical Acupuncture works with the Complement Channels (Sinews, Luos, Divergent and Extraordinary Vessel channels). These channels contain an essentially unlimited number of applications for reversing pathology and fully restoring health in a person.

Acupuncture, along with herbal and essential oil formulas (perfumes, aromatherapy blends, and incense) are also able to support self-cultivation practices or general good health. Please let us know if you are interested in a custom oil or herbal formula.
